  Still no problems to report. We have taken our cooler on numerous trips down south and loaded up both sides with freezer and frozen goodies from supermarket. I pre-chill it down the night before and actually the fan does turn off When its not needed. We watched a movie and enjoyed a nice lunch while powered via my 24v lawnmower battery. Im sure the battery could last for at least 24 hours If you are still on the fence you cant go wrong.

  I opted for the cover that keeps it more insulated and that was a good investment though probably not necessary.This is my second Dometic cooler

  Awesome fridge only runs for about a minute and a half even in the desert and keeps food at the 37 degrees I set. Runs quiet and just sits there silently most of the time like a big cooler with electronic readout.You can also plug it into AC home power

  My husband is a regional truck driver who is out Monday through Friday and home weekends. This is the perfect size for him to store all of the meals he needs plus a few water bottles and cans of soda. It gets cold enough that it can actually freeze a drink if its too close to the interior fan. Works very well. Husband is very happy
