Both my cats have taken to this product immediately although not for the intended purpose as a scratchboard. Both Benson and Missy love to sit and nestle in the hammock and watch their surroundings from it. I think the two arches and the shape of the seat makes it a comfortable and secure spot for them and if one of the cats is not using it the other is. Im so happy I made this purchase. Missy has now started to scratch at it
