It was turn off after 3 hours i guess. sometimes i forget to turn off it will auto turn off after 3 hours. so it kind of safe if you forget to turn it off. I love it it was warm enough and can adjust for 3 heat setting even number 2 is strong enough for my bed.I satisfied with my buying. Price is reasonable.
